Jill Valentine was created by Shinji Mikami and designed by Isao Ohishi.
Her first appearance was in 1996 on a game called Biohazard (Resident Evil) For the playstation console. The impact of the game was so great and many gamers become fans of Jill Valentine.
But it was until 1999 when resident evil 3: nemesis was released selling over 3 million copies around the globe. Jill Valentine significantly increased its popularity becoming an icon and the most beloved character of the series. All Jill Valentine fans are still begging for a RE3 remake. but until now capcom doesn't seems interested in doing it.
With the arrival of new generation consoles, new Resident Evil games arrived, and with them, a new Jill Valentine.
In october of 2002 Resident Evil Remake (Nintendo Gamecube) was released! This was the first 3D realistic face for that character, she wasn't square pixels anymore.
Now Let's talk about Julia Voth.
Julia was born in Hepburn, Saskatchewan, Canada. She move to Japan at the age of 14 and started career as model. she work for several magazines and very well known franchises. But it was in 2001 when she made an audition and no one know what it was for. Later, she received a call telling she was going to appear in a resident evil game.
small fragment of an interview with julia about Resident Evil.
They basically just scanned my face, hands, feet, ears, neck into a computer and reacted her movements from there. They also scanned facial expressions and mouth shapes so when Jill talks or makes an expression, its mine.

Project S.E.R.A (2012)
Real zombie action. Julia Voth plays Jill (Valentine?) Short film below.
Her face was used in later games like Resident Evil: The Umbrella Chronicles and Resident Evil 5. Most must be wondering, why is she blonde? the reason is a result of experimentation done on her body by Albert Wesker.
Let's proceed to 2010-2011. In june of 2010 Resident Evil: Revelations for Nintendo3DS was announced in the E3 (electronic entertainment expo). But surprise! Jill Valentine face was changed.
Can you tell me what is this? seriously... We all fans, not only Jill fans, also Julia fans fell very disappointed.
Now we are gathering signatures for Capcom to bring Julia face back to Jill Valentine. Why? because she has lost it essence and doesn't feel like Jill anymore.
But that's not all. This face will be also used in Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City.
We are currently making an online petition to bring back Julia. Support us with your signatures!
